THIS COPY HAS THE BLUE BINDING WHICH WAS USED ON THE FIRST COPIES OF Little Golden Books, IT CAME WITH A DUST JACKET WHICH THIS BOOK DOES NOT HAVE, IT IS 76 YEARS OLD BASED ON THE BACK COVER WHICH WAS ONLY USED IN 1948. "Five little puppies dug a hole under the fence and went for a walk in the wide, wide world." The Poky Little Puppy was always the tag along as the puppies encounter many things in the wide, wide world but return home in hopes of getting dessert. Each time their mother says no because they dug that hole under the fence. Eventually the five puppies learn their lesson. Marks: Dedication (photo 2), no other writing on pages or covers; a page is detached as the tape gave up with time (photos 10 & 11) & there are a few light smudges & back cover has pencil lines on several titles. Tears: To side page edges a 3/16" & a 1/8" with fold, to bottom edges a 3/16" & 1/4" at binding & to top a 5/16" with fold, a 3/16", 1/8" & a 5/8" X 3/16" fold. Corners: Page have slight bends + a 1/2" & 1/8" fold to top corners & a bottom fold of 1/16". Cover are soft especially both top & all have paper cover loss showing white & the board. Binding: Tight, blue binding has areas of loss (photos 1, 15 & 16); also, top inside back staple has separated from the cover (photo 14). Cover: Front has color loss, very shallow paper cover loss to board edges showing white, a 3/4" long paper cover loss at top right corner & paper cover separation the full length in groove where book bends. Back has the pencil lines noted above & it too has paper cover separation the full length at binding. This seller accepts PayPal. A Media Mail shipping fee of $4.47 will be charged for this book.
